Keen to hear from or about any other women out there who, like me, are more vaginally than clitorally stimulated. I can achieve clitoral orgasms through masturbation, but they pale in comparison with the orgasms I have via internal stimulation alone, or most commonly from a combination of attention to both 'areas' at once (mixed orgasm). I think this is the main reason that for me, receiving oral - although it feels very pleasurable - doesn't get me to dizzying heights unless there is some sort of penetration happening at the same time. I've started thinking about why this might be so, and realised that I didn't start masturbating until after I started having sex. My first orgasms occurred during sex, usually when I was on top so I had that combination of internal and clitoral stimulation. So when I started masturbating I rarely focused solely on my clit, and almost always incorporated some type of penetration. So it may have been a reinforcing thing which now means that I generally need that penetration to really get off properly. Although, I also just fucking love the feeling of being penetrated, so that probably helps.
