The sixth Sydney expo is taking place on 7-9 March 2014 at the Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park.
The 2013 event attracted over 16,000 visitors as well as an incredible range of both international and local artists, attractive retail vendors, exciting entertainer’s and special VIP guest Corey Miller of LA Ink who inked the winner of our Edge 96.1 ‘Get Inked by Corey’ campaign live at the expo.
International artists San Jose’s State of Grace, Horitaka; tattoo artist from Sweden’s Swahili Bobs, Fingers Dead; and the renowned crew from New Zealand’s Cambridge Body Art were all showcased at the expo. They were joined by first class local artists such the glamorous Brisbane tattooist and owner of Garage Ink, Teneile Napoli; husband and wife tattooist team from Cherry Bomb Tattoo, Kat Abdy and Nathan Holdfast; and Tony Cohen, the tattoo artist for Rose Tattoo front man Angry Anderson.
Retailers and suppliers included Black Flys, Killer Instinct, Royal Blood Clothing, Baby Creatures, Lets Get Pierced, Metallica Gun, Lucky Supply, Dr Pickles, Ink Jecta, Protat, Underworld Supplies and Tiger Tattoo Supplies.
A few highlights of the 3 day expo were the worlds first screening of the feature film ‘Tattoo Nation’, model search and filming of TV episode ‘Flesh Air’ from Advanced Airbrush, Sailor Jerry Airstream, world famous Westsyde pro-skate demo’s & lesson’s, Harley Davidson Custom Shop & bike experience, Vintage theme Pin-Up Pageant and cabaret & burlesque performances from Kelly Ann Doll, Suzy Q & Toby J plus many more.view detail
