Back by popular demand the largest tattoo expo in the southern hemisphere will return to Perth for its 2nd year from 6th to 8 th June at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The hugely successful expo in 2013 attracted over 10,000 visitors and hosted Billy Decola as its VIP guest. The talented Canadian artist appeared on the reality show ‘NY Ink’ where he completed his apprenticeship in front of a worldwide audience.
Local studios taking part in the action included Perth’s Primitive Tattoo, Morley’s Artful Ink, Wanneroo’s Abandoned Art, Busselton’s Elite Tattoo Studio, Bayswater’s LA Tattoo, Como’s The Ink Garage, Mandurah’s Notorious Ink, and Osborne Park’s Reilly Tattoo and Emerald Ink. International artists travelling to the Expo include Jennifer Neoh and MC NG from Malaysia’s Skin Nation Tattoo, Lius Ada from Bali’s Ada Tattoo Studio, Ra from Thailand’s Decorate Tattoo & Piercing Shop and Japanese studio, ToMs Tattoos.
The expo also provided an excellent opportunity to do some shopping with retailers such as Hurly Burly Clothing, Baby Creatures, Lucky Supply and Archer Imagery already on board. Plus there was a range of retail vendors showcasing tattoo accessories, clothing, body piercing, alternative fashion, artwork, books, magazines and even the latest tattoo removal techniques.
Over the three days, the Expo featured a jam-packed line-up of entertainment and performances including live music, daily tattoo contests, cabaret, acrobatics and burlesque from Perth’s premiere burlesque troupe Sugar Blue Burlesque.view detail
