so something nice for a change to the vitriolic postings of late...It is a very wintery night in Melbourne, wet, cold and bone-chilling wind blowing off from the south... A great night to enjoy the comforts of home. And some me time.I have done my after work gym workout, and popped into the local library to borrow a few jazz CDs: Ella Fitzgerald, Nina simone, Van Morrison, Winton Marsalis, Norah Jones, etc. (that should Picked a books I have on my to-do lists : Death of Salesman (Arthur Miller) and Poems of William Wordsworth. Checked my wine collection - a 2002 Cab Sav will do the trick to go with the stir-fried chilli mixed green veg and chinese sausage/prawn with Hokkien noodles that I just cooked...all set, wine uncorked to breath waiting to be sipped, Nina simone just cooing away in the background, lights dimmed, lavender candles lit and glowing, book waiting for its pages to be turned under the reading lamp in the lounge, faux fur throw over my lap while i lie in repose on my couch (occasional peek at RHP activities) savouring every minute. Bliss to have some time to myself... slowly enjoying everything that thrills my senses - sound, taste, scent, visual and touch.I love winter nights like this. Would be great to have a gorgeous man to lie in bed after but not necessary. I love my own company. How do you like to spend your winter nights?
