Reading an article on SMH online and was stunned by the reader comments. The article was about the launch of an incredibly lamely titled new book that explores "negotiated fidelity".Now I thought the fanatics and fundamentalists were all for man and woman to marry and live happily ever after. Turns out many of us don't qualify.Of the dozens of comments on the story, 90% were along these lines:"if you can't stay faithful then don't get married""it's cheating even if you both agree on it""they can't possibly love each other so don't get married""you can't call that marriage, marriage is for people like us"Seems swingers and open relationships are just as evil as two dudes in love, and our 13yrs of blissfully honest, monogamish marriage is a sham that will likely see us both burn in hell.I'm not worried about myself, I carry the Catholic get out of jail free card, just need to apologise on my deathbed and everything will be forgiven. However Mrs C was born an atheist, which is bad enough, but living this life of marital sin is surely going to condemn her.Not sure we want to give it up just yet though. What can we do?Mr C
