Very rarely is remake better than the original (in terms of music).
I write this because I just heard two covers that I like more than the originals:
The Ataris "boys of summer" (a cover of the eagles song by the same name)
Disturbed "Shout 2000" (a cover of tears for fears)
List some that you prefer over the originals.
